Toyota Motor Corp. has changed its plan to make Corollas at a plant in Guanajuato, Mexico, now under construction, and instead will produce Tacoma pickups there.

Yours may have been built in Baja Mexico. My 2017 was. If the Vin# starts with a 3 it was built in Mexico.

Mine was built in Baja California.
I wish they were American made but heck, it’s a Japanese Company so it is what it is.
Toyota has a motor manufacturing plant in Buffalo, WV. They employ a lot of people so I’ll give them props for that. Hardly any companies put factories in West Virginia. It’s pretty much an economic black hole. Just coal mines and gas wells.

My 18 was made in Texas. Thought I read somewhere that production was going to be shifted fully to either place. Don't recall which.

Kinda surprised they'd add more tacos to Mexico and love corolla stuff here. Small cars have much lower profit margins, and even lower when you add in higher manufacturing costs from being made here.
