OIl filter housing lock position

During the oil change I noticed the housing lock didn't even come close to centering in between the two housing boss. Anyone else have this problem.
 
My 2018 V6 didn't either. If the threads aren't going to keep the filter housing from backing out, do you really think that little tab is going to do anything?

If you're worried, drill one of the fins on the filter cap and safety wire it to another engine component.
