oil pan leaking??

got notice at dealer inspection about a leaky oil pan again
waiting to see if they email some pics like they said they would

Approximate 425$ quote to reseal not including parts if any and that shop supply racket
That might be a lowball considering the involvement I thot it was to get at it...
Is this on your 25 year old 7 figure taco?

hobbled under the truck today while I had the opportunity to take a gander with underplate still off the rig
Flashlight n hand..

There is no more pan weeps than there was last time I was notified about it brought to my attention nearly 16 months back
If it is even a weep,it is in the front corner on passenger side right side up front there in the corner

Hi all
So it has Been 3700 miles since last OCI
Checked level on cold engine
It is looking good at the full hash spot on it is

OK. So, quit worrying about it. Slip a pan or a pad under it when you park overnight. Look at the pan/pad in the morning. It'll tell you the extent of the "leak".

Won't it leak also when it is running and it all circulating inside there
Or is that just how valve cover gaskets start weeping?

Which is it? Oil pan or valve cover? Do you know the difference? You're bouncing around again.

Thats jays m.o....you should read his posts on the tw gen1 forum, he even posts likes on his own posts....good entertainment. Some of those guys are just as goofy complaining about their everlasting gen1's.

i know there is a slight valve cover weep behind the back engine by the firewall
but it must not be a big weep if the oil level remains nice and full

but i would just like to know how much longer this oil pan weep that i was alerted to long ago is going to become an issue if it ever was an issue to begin with at the alert
