Just noticed today I have two small sized chips near my fuel door on my taco. Any suggestions on how to fix with touch up paint. Should I go through Toyota? I already went to an auto parts store and attempted to match up my paint without any luck. Just wanna get it nipped in the bud before it begins to rust. Thanks everyone.
 
your safest bet would be to purchase touch up paint from Toyota..that way you can be sure that the color will match...they got the color code for my truck from the label on drivers side door jam
 
Rust shouldn't be a problem from a chip. There's electronic deposition coat, primer, base coat and a clear coat on that body. That's four layers of Toyota goodness on there!!! Good luck with the touch up.
