I believe they're stainless steel rivets much stronger and reliable than aluminum rivets. Yeah I like the bolts and nuts too but I think positioning is what eliminates those.I like the idea, however the pop rivets concern me, I would feel much better with good old bolts and nuts.
Everything is well instructed, they give you a two page color diagram that shows you the measurements and everything. Is there perscribed location points to mount youre brackets or are you left on youre own to figure that out?
Let me tell you it's nice but it's only nice when you need to get under the hood, the rest of the time you don't even know you have them.Had it all figured out that a catch can was gonna be my next purchase, now it may be hood struts. [emoji848]
There's some weight to 'em!Those hoods must be heavy.

I was shocked the first time I pop the hood open to how heavy it was. Those hoods must be heavy.
......or knuckles if you're not watching!Be great walnut crackers...just open the hood, line a few up along the front edge, then drop it...

JMO Don't trust any product that tells you you don't have to drill because it will not hold up. There's a lot of weight on this hood and if it's not held on by bolts or rivets it's going to come loose.Does anyone make a set that doesn't have to be drilled? I'd rather not drill into anything of it's not totally neccasary. I thought I had seen a set somewhere awhile back and book marked it. But I can't find it now.
