grill removal might allow closer access to reach down safely behind the shroud since not removing it

Well idk about your case, or expectations, but I'd have no problem trusting a couple area dealers here if needing their service.
 
Really depends on the relationship a customer, and dealer builds. Come across as a cheap a**hole, and you'll get treated like one.
