Shaking

I bet jk hates us. I would rather him hate us alive rather than die. Jk if you read this we all still like you. But please tell us what the custom rim shop do to fix it. If it shakes a little maybe out of balance if it shakes a lot they have something messed up. Tire out of round. Bent wheel etc. grab who ever put them on and take them for a ride if you have to.

So one rim is slightly bent. Is it safe to drive with it. Like the only way to tell if its on the machine. Im getting a new pair of rims soon

So is the "custom shop" replacing the slightly bent, brand new wheel? They didn't notice this the first go-around? Wouldn't you rather put you stockers back on there until they find 4 straight wheels?

If they put a piss poor rim on the first time who’s to say they won’t put it on the second time. Watch them like a hawk and make sure they don’t throw the bad wheel on the back.

Nah there about 14 months old. Im just gonna order some 20’s when i installed my maxtrax lift 6.5 soon

When i hit 55 and up my steering wheel shake alittle im on a 3 inch lift and wheels are balanced so what could it be

There’s a few things that come to mind.

1) Are the aftermarket wheels hub centric or lug centric? Lug centric wheels often require conical lug nuts that have about a 60 degree taper. You have to torque them down correctly in order to center the wheel. A remedy to eliminate error is get hub centric rings. 3rd gen Tacoma’s have a 106.1mm hub, so if your aftermarket wheels have a 108mm bore you’d need the 108-106.1 ring.

2) driveline vibration is pretty common after a lift, OME sells a little spacer kit to correct the angle of the drive shaft.
