Skid plate

Looking at getting a skid plate for the taco. Dumb question but might as well ask. What year did the frame change? When I type in my year it comes up a bunch of years. Also will a TRD skid fit onto a non TRD?

I bought one two months ago and it worked with my 3" setup, but, not my new 6" BDS lift! I need to sell it and it fits your truck.

Ok cool cool. Just wasn't sure with the model change if the framed changed. Buddy of mine got one for his 2012 but wasn't sure if it would fit mine but you answered my question man

Just toyota factory OEM skid plate for 200$. Then spend 15$ @ Lowe's and buy high performance Rustoleum primer and coat with semi gloss black. Top it off with trd decal and finished with 3 coats of clear semi gloss enamel. Total amount spent 215$!!

Go to dealer buy trd offroad they all the same. Even my 2016 tacoma fit the same. Any from 2005 up.
Very true. That's the one thing Toyota listened to was the aftermarket world and anyone doing mods. The market is so stocked with parts for 2005-2015 Tacoma they kept all mounting points the same. So if anyone has bumpers for their 2009 and buys a 2016 they will fit. Same goes for suspension.

My bumper was stock. Just plasti dipped it all while still attached. Cllow, just go to Lowe's and buy a half inch piece of metal, and then gorilla glue it to the bottom of your Tacoma. You can always glue two pieces of metal together and attach that to the bottom of that if that isn't enough. You're welcome.

This is stock 07 I bought 8 months ago after I took off the plastic bumper skirt ! Nice frame rail to frame rail Aluminum with NO offset corner protection for your ass or you Family's! Useless! The majority of front end accidents are offset on the corners. ImageUploadedByTaco Forum1445787156.887693.jpg
At least I've got a bit of protection.
