It's gorgeous up there. 1st time there was 2 months ago to buy my BMW R1200gs. There's a very cool small Ducati dealer called Rockwell Cycles on Rte 9 that has a huge, almost cult-like following. So my first time sitting on an adventure bike was to ride that awesome stretch through Bear Mountain. I'll certainly be headed that way again.

I use to take sunday morning rides on my bike to bear mountain. Did many rides up rt 22, and rt9.

It is. No more tolls though. Cashless. I think it’s less than $2.00

do they just scan your plate crossing or do you need one of these transponder (with a linked creditcard) things i have no clue about yet LOL

or register your plate before travel like I am running into places in Maryland

If it is EZ-Pass its a low price.
If they scan your plate it is top dollar and service charge.

EZ Pass is the transponder antenna? or the window sticker ?

I am learning about it from various eastern state websites that use it

The only place I have seen E-ZPass signs are Chicago area and Indiana
But I am able to avoid the toll roads there with relative ease and there are no toll bridges except for perhaps one that I am aware of.

Toll bridges appear to be plentiful on the east coast everywhere

I used ez pass many times on the mass pike going from Lee to Worcester.
