This mod is well worth the time to do it. The factory speakers are cheap... cheap.... cheap! I followed the instructions and parts lists found on this site and it was a breeze.

Sounds awesome... went with the kicker tweeters from Subaru and kicker 6x9 in front and kicker 6.5 in the rear. Easy install took about 2 hrs for all 6 speakers.

Sounds soooo much better!

Where did you purchase all the speakers and how much where they?

Seems like Crutchfield has the best deal on the 6x9” and 6.5”
Some people are putting the 6 3/4”

Is there a reason you did the 6.5” and not the 6 3/4” in the rear?
 
Found the tweets on eBay for 88 and the 6x9s at Best Buy 78 the 6.5s on Amazon for 45 got all the brackets and wire adapters on Amazon along with some panel removal tools. All and all around $260 ish. No particular reason for 6.5 over 6.75.

What part numbers where the 6x9” and the 6.5” kickers that you purchased?
