Common here in Nebraska too.......have had 2 bites by what looks like that spider above.......both Brown Recluses.......nasty sore then slowly healed but was on some Keflex too.
Lower legs?........that's where they bit me........and yes, sore as he!!........and nasty break down of tissue.I still have a scar from the recluse that bit me, that was a nasty sore. I had fever in the leg it bit me on.
The discharge is nasty......greenish yellow........still have scars on my lower legs.Yeah. It can be pretty nasty without treatment. I’ve seen them get pretty big and full of purulent drainage without antibiotics.
We don’t have recluse we have hobo sliders. I got bit by one year’s ago on my shine. The dr said I got lucky it didn’t bite my calf or thigh. Antibiotics and kept it clean. I have scars from where the tissue rotted out. View attachment 17734
They’re all gross I kill them allHobo spiders are a nasty little creature. We have a wolf spider in West Virginia that looks exactly like them. It’s nearly impossible to tell them apart.
They’re all gross I kill them all
They’re all gross I kill them all
Add snakes to the kill-list too! Hate those things. Anything moves that fast and doesn't have legs?.....it dies! LOLI do the same thing.
I got stung by something in my Arizona garage. Sudden and sharp. Started swelling and turning red almost immediately. Numbness moved up my arm slowly from the sting. Called poison control. Answered a few questions and was told to go get benedryl. (Spelling?). Took 10 hours but back to normal. Wasn't a scorpion.
Benadryl reduces the swelling and irritation where it is an antihistamine.
