Front what I understand, pretty good upgrade even in 4Runners.

I did them in my 2017 Tacoma OR. I replaced just the front tweeters first and it was an improvement over OEM. I noticed a dramatic difference in the highs. I replaced the door speakers with kickers and that made the system much better over all. I’d recommend the kicker upgrade for a fairly cheap audio upgrade for the OEM head unit.

I was shocked how thin the cones are on the OEM door speakers and how light the magnate was. I’m surprised they sound as good as they do.

Yep, I did all that a couple years ago too...
One of the first things I did to the truck when it was new... still love the way it sounds.

I replaced my tweeters about a year ago. No regrets. It wasn’t that expensive and easy to install. Crisper highs.

I changed mine about two years ago I changed all the speaker's out with kickers I did go with the Subaru tweets they were plug and play and there really good love the sound now

I did this upgrade too— only regret is that I didn’t add any sound deadening mat to the doors as it definitely needs it
