Get to know your truck, get to know it’s lines. I’ve seen to many people start trying to do things that are out of their abilities as a driver and the equipment they have. It gets real, real quick. If you don’t have a winch don’t go where you’ll get stuck, if you don’t have Sliders don’t try to slide. Have proper extraction points on so if you do get stuck you can get pulled out without ending up like this guy...

Can't add much to what's been said other than be sure you know how to use your truck. What's all them buttons and knobs do? Don't be afraid of that book in the glovebox. And be sure that there's a few tow straps and a couple shackles between you and whoever you're going with. I carry a shovel and an axe also. ( the homicide kit) [emoji23]

Just take it slow. You don’t have to be ready for Moab after your first off road trek.
Have fun and start simple. Enjoy the capabilities of these awesome trucks. If you see some mud or trails that give you the apprehension in your gut don’t do it. Lol.
