The BS Thread To Rule Them All!!!

No, 8 speed auto only. Because of the 326 hp this truck has, toyota has no manual to handle that much hp. Now if this doesn't make you drool... they come with 33'' knobby tires, and reservoir gas shocks to smoothly handle those bumpy asphalt roads you often say your current clapped out taco needs 4wd so you don't get stuck, or worse something doesn't 't fall off your truck causing an accident. These new hybrid trd pro's are the cats ass. They are loaded with all the goodies.

You gotta admit, its good bs

The plastic is junk in the gen2 taco
Has It Been Fixed for the new gen ??
Or is it even worse!?

All has been fine in my gen3 with the plastic, and vinyl, not much different than my gen1 tundra, so idk what your beef is. Fit and finish is excellent. Plastic is lighter than steel. Recently ran against a new 6 cyl jeep that wanted to race, thinking these gen3 taco's were a pooch. It was close for about 100 ft once my tires stopped spinning, then I was gone.

Then why do you keep buying their parts, pouring countless dollars into that old scrapheap of yours? Been known for decades toyota isn't what it use to be, but they still make a decent long lasting product vs the others.

I eat a lot of blueberries, and salmon to counteract the effects of a couple beers a day. Cranberries are good to if you have liver issues.
Going to have some mercury laden swordfish for lunch today.....tired of too much salmon. Liver needs a break

For those who are ignorant about automotive use of plastics.

Plastic is lighter weight than the old school materials. Promoting better fuel efficiency, smaller engines, possible for more complex shapes.
Plastic is more resistant to parking lot dings and minor fender bangs.
Plastic is made to final shape. Less machining and manufacturing costs.
Plastic has the advantage of absorbing impact energy during a crash.
Plastic is resistant to corrosion.

Plastics have been in the auto industry since the 50's.

Believe it or not, engineers are smart people. They would not change materials without having an advantage.

Would you like the return of glass headlights? Modern headlights can be shaped into many complex shapes and are extremely resistant to breakage. Glass.....not so much.

Many people gripe about the snap fit interiors. These interiors assemble quickly without tools and don't begin to rattle like to old school interiors.

I have an 18 yo truck void of rattles and bangs. I had a 13 yo '63 Buick that had more rattles than an infant daycare. Plus the rust was pervasive.

Modern vehicles with plastic have solved many issues.

Some here that own 25+ year old trucks would claim thats misinformation, or disinformation.
