Just heard gm is ramping up production on their colorado's, and canyons hiring new workers to meet the demand expected as these foreign made trucks like the tacoma get hit with big tariffs.
Imo, it wasn't a smart thing for toyota to move their entire tacoma line to mexico. I wasn't thrilled hearing that decision. When I ordered my 2020, I told the dealer to make sure it was built in texas, as I didn't want the other existing plant in mexico to be made there. Now its come back to bite toyota for saving a few peso's by going with cheaper mexican labor.
