the climate crisis...

So, here I sit, the "storm is only 11 miles from L. A. Pretty much all we have had to day is light to moderate rain (and very little of the moderate stuff) and light winds (actually not much more than breezes).

Once again the gloom and doom pundits blew it.

Or as has been said, weathermen are the only folks who can be wrong repeatedly and keep their jobs.

They let the rats consume their garbage. Have you been to nyc lately?....it has a very unique odor....reminds me of the local waste treatment plant.
they still tow the barges out into the gulfstream and dump their crap into the ocean.

Haven't been to NYC in years. Absolutely no interest in going. Did an internship there in college. Brother has lived in the city for over 40 years. Don't know why anyone would like to live like that, but that's their choice.

They are free to disagree because they have been taught scientism, not science.
Actually no, they are not free to disagree. Teachers are authority figures (though sadly most are bad ones) and have great influence on the way kids think. If the kids were adults raised to think for themselves, yes they could disagree. But to disagree with a teacher has always been a bad move.

As and example, I have a very unpopular opinion of suicide. It's based on years of experience in dealing with them. After the service I went to college and one of the courses was psych. The instuctor worked at a suicide help line in her off hours. When that subject came up I strongly disagreed with her stance to the point of being ask to leave the class.

I once told my 2nd grade teacher she was full of chit...was a bad move. I had to stay after school an hr every night the rest of the week, writing my spelling words 10 x each on the blackboard.

The problem today is a kid can tell his teacher that and there are no repercussions. In fact if you did punish the child you'd likely be sued and loose your teaching creds.

On other occasions while in those lower grades, we had a principle that wasn't afraid to use the paddle that hung in his office. I tested it a couple times for fighting. Parents were pissed to that I D's in deportment when the report cards were handed out.

And the root of entitlement has been uncovered. Disrespect is also in those roots.

I just walk away from them. Life will be a harsh task master. Those who have experience are chastised for trying to pass on knowledge.

Well, I sure got those spoiled brats on TW crying like little girls trying to convince them big heavy tires, and lifts hurt fuel economy, and performance.

I can see the issue with heat killing the cattle, and the evacuation of nursing home patients due to the extreme heat, but shutting down an ice cream parlor in that kind of weather is criminal.

Is that why there's been a bear problem in CT
Saw it on the news recently
No, we have too many in this small state that think bears are cute while they feed the birds. I just saw another bear early this morning come from the bird ladies home next door. She attracts them with all her bird feeders, then complains to the state d.e.e.p, the bears are destroying her feeders. They already rounded up a bunch of bears earlier this summer just up the road from me, and released them in another county. It doesn't take long once you feed a bear it's going to return, and associate people with food. What you end up with...a fed bear is a dead bear.

the rancid rampant humidity has been absent on the GP for the past few days
bless U climate change
