They've been talking about it for awhile and it looks like Toyota is going to start making compact pickup trucks once more in order to compete with the Ford Maverick & Hyundai Santa Cruze. It's been mentioned on youtube multiple time this weekend. Suppose to start at $22,000.

My special order to Mountain States Toyota GM Tim Binsbergen in Denver will be;
2024 Toyota Stout, 4-cyl w/turbo assist, 4WD, 7-speed manuel transmission, 4-door, 6-foot box, 14 inch touch screen, beige leather seats, and VooDoo Blue exterior. Yeah Baby !

Hmmmm.....seems chickens are being counted before the eggs are laid.

Are you sure that Toyota isn't just reviving the name. Ford "brought back" the Maverick.......but not as a sh1t box car, but as a small pickup. Name only was revived.

Also view any facts on YouTube with some very thick rose colored glasses. Many mythconceptions are started on social media.

Pictures of prototypes many times don't come into production.

All I'm saying is temper your expectations until it hits the showroom floor.

i will suppose this to have a UniBody and not a 'frame'!? in the traditional sense
therfre (its french) NOT a real pickup because of the frame delete

I hope they come out with the stout. But it would be great if they could make it a manual, 4x4 and also throw in the rear window from the tundra. I really like that window. It's a shame that that window doesn't come in the tacoma.

Ya know I agree with you more. Iv'e always loved the Tundra roll down rear window and always wondered why the heck they wouldn't do that for Tacomas.

If the production truck looks anything like the CGI model, I'd buy it. I don't need an off-road monster, just something to haul rocks, dirt, and plants hone from Lowes.
I need something to get around well in the blizzards
A big one is coming to TacomaHA
