Tonneau cover

What kind of tonneau covers is everyone using? Company/hard or soft ect. I got a 2017 Tacoma and thats something I'm looking into getting soon.

OEM Toyota Tonneau Cover. Ordered with the Taco, so far good price, and quality, among the added advantages of Toyota Mfr. warranty, and financed. Although mfr says that isn't waterproof, I tested it with strong rain and it worked to keep my luggage dry. Also I bought the OEM bed mat so my load keeps from moving. so far good ratio of value/price.

I got a factory OEM trifold cover with my 2016 Tacoma sport. This is 3rd Tacoma I've own. It's the worse cover I ever owned. It's heavy and a pain in the ass to take off if you needs to use the whole bad. Also it leaks water everywhere!! Talked to the dealer and was told the cover was only design to help with gas mileage and keep your stuff in the bed and not to keep water out, WTF!!! for $800!!!!!!. I made them take the cover back. DO NOT GET THE OEM COVER! it's junk!.

I installed the Truxedo Truxport soft tonneau. Took about 45 minutes. Looks great, nice tight fit with now wrinkles. If you click on my avatar you can see it. Purchased on Real Truck for $289.00. First time I have used the site but very please with the product.

Yeah, my dealer told me the factory cover leaked and recommended I not buy it. I actually worked the Undercover tonneau and installation in with the deal on the truck. Good dealership.

I have the factory OEM and love it. Only a few drops get thru after major rains and driving in stormy weather. Fully removes in minutes. Carry a 12mm ratchet in the cab to remove 1 12mm safety bolt (1 min.) and lift it it off. No big deal. Thought I wanted an aluminum roll up until I saw the storage box needed up front. Took up too much space.

I understand. For me with the short bed and losing space bc of the wheel well hips it was a no brainer. For the extra usable space.

I put a Undercover Flex on my 2017 Tacoma about two months ago. So far it has proven to be "acceptably" water tight, and I like the security of the latching system. Spent about $975 installed.

I had the bakflip G2 tonneau cover on my 2007 Tundra and loved it. It flips up and protects your back window from damage while giving you access to the entire bed of the truck. Keeps your stuff dry and safe when closed. Lock the tail gait and its locked. I just purchased the bakflip MX4 for my 2017 taco I get it this Wednesday and will install it this coming weekend. They run between $800-950 depends on who's selling it and taxes in your state. Great product IMO.

I second the bakflip. I have the vp which is the vinyl covered of what pg has. No lines so it looks clean. I really like how it sits flush. The only time i get any water is at the car wash. Ive been through some HEAVY rain with a bed full of stuff i was sure was going to get wet and ruined but didn't get a drop.

I got the diamondback installed. Easy install. Just threw some tube sand on top to set the lock depth. No drilling. 2 striker plates slide into the rear side channels and attach via the first screw for the rear lock. The front lock goes right into the rail. The center section has 4 clamps that recess into the rail and clamp over the aluminum. Sorry for the lack of pictures.. I only have a few on my phone.
