Top 15 Mods Under $250.... GO!

Immediate improvement in throttle response. Then added a Gibson catback exhaust. The combination was a noticeable improvement in throttle response and acceleration. I would not say a massive horsepower or fuel economy gain. I would say it made the 3.5 a lot more user friendly. It is not the slug it was beforehand. I would say maybe a 20 hp gain. I spent $200 on the intake and $236 for the exhaust so IMO it was money well spent. Don't know that spending more on TRD intake and exhaust would have been worth the $850 investment. For what I spent, the sound, the performance were well worth the investment.
 
If you really want a horsepower improvement as well as better transmission shift timing then you may want to look into buying an Orange Virus Tune for your truck. It is around a $700 tune but has rave reviews. Each tune has both 87 and 91 octane settings to maximize performance based on the fuel you prefer to use. You can also switch back to the stock tune. It has a hidden code that will not be detected if you take it in for warranty work. I planned on buying the tune before the holidays but decided to use the extra money to help pay my truck off this summer. I am very happy with the daily performance of my truck. Once I pay it off then I may buy the tune. It is well proven and tweaked. I believe it is now on the 3rd version. It is available for both automatic and manual transmissions.

Door latch covers came from an individual on ebay that just had a single listing. There are plenty on there but most come from China. They are cheap and come in several colors.

I replaced mine with LED and it’s bright but that looks like a tanning bed in your truck cab! Lol

I havent put it on yet. I just ordered them today lol. I've been wanting to mount a 20lb fire extinguisher in back and an axe for now. I noticed you have to buy the end plug caps seperately(bogus).

Hey bud...where did you grab the Gibson exhaust so cheap???? Did it come with a polished tip at that price???
