Toyota recalled over a quarter million Tacomas for rear differentials seeping and leaking. Calling it a catisteophic failing part. Their 2018-2019 Tundras are having the same issues. They have now changed their stance on this. They have released this TSB for ALL vehicles across their line.
They do not care if a sealed part is leaking oil. They will call it a seep and not fix it until it is pooling or dripping on the ground.
Where is EPA on this issue? It’s now ok for a new vehicle to admit oil into the environment?
I’m a little disappointed in Toyota for taking this stance.

I took my 2018 Tundra Platinum CM in last year when I noticed the rear diff was starting to leak/seep.

They re-torqued the bolts and wiped it clean and said keep an eye on it, so I did.
About a year later and 5k more miles.

I just took it back last week and said it looks like it’s still leaking the re-torquing the bolts did not fix it. I’d like it fixed before it gets worse.
They said it’s not leaking it’s seeping. We are not going to do anything for you. They wiped it clean and gave me the TSB.

What gear oil are you running? Does the Tundra use the same 75/85 as the Taco? I'd try a full synthetic like M1, Amsoil, or Redline and see what happens.
