Trailer hitches

I have a new Tacoma off road 4 wheel drive. Will I need a hitch and ball with a drop , rise, or level to pull a trailer and have it about level? Any suggestions? I have one with a 6 inch drop i use on a F-150 but it will probably to low on the Tacoma. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Didn’t say if it was lifted. Measure from center of receiver to ground with the truck bed loaded with whatever else you are going to take. That’ll tell you a lot.

Not lifted. Everything is stock. Just recently bought it new. Thanks.
I’ll check it tomorrow and get an idea. Right now I’m thinking a hitch with no drop or lift should do ok.

I use a two inch drop hitch flipped up and the trailer rides pretty level 5700lbs with about 570 lbs tongue weight. Stock truck.

I got one with a 2 inch drop and it works perfect. The trailer is level and works like I hoped it would.
