How often do you guys change your trans fluid on your first gen tacomas?

Try to do it about every 25k, cheap insurance. If I jack up the right side I can drain about 6 qts out.

Is it a manual or an automatic. If it is a manual, and you use synthetic tranny fluid, you can usually double the recommended service setting. If it is an automatic, follow, by all means, the recommended service guide lines.

I don't know on the automatics. On the manuals, I think it is every 30,000 miles. A good rule of thumb on automatics, is do it every other year. That is what I do with our automatic Corolla.

on my old 2000 TRD Off Road I changed it every 100,000 miles.
