Trying to Learn the Full Background on a Family Vehicle

Hi all,
I’ve got this old car that my grandfather left to me. It runs fine and looks good for its age, but nobody in the family seems to know much about its history. I want to keep it, but before putting money into repairs or restoration, I want to know the whole story.

I’m looking for a vehicle history report that tells me about accidents, title issues, how many owners it had, and whether it’s ever been salvaged or flooded. I’ve seen a few options online, but most are either vague or expensive.

If you’ve used a cost-effective service and got solid info, I’d love to know which one. I have the VIN, just don’t want to throw money at a useless report. Any help is appreciated.

If the family can't tell you anything about that old car, your chances learning anything from a stranger are even more remote.
