Wax???

Although I like Meguiars products and use them, wax is pretty much wax if you are applying it regularly, like once a month or two. It really just boils down to how it applies and wipes off.

On my black Harley, I swear by Meguiars Black Wax...it has a light abrasive in it and makes it glow. You can use it on any dark color. For my Tacoma, I'm using a wax I bought at the county fair which I've used a lot, very successfully, in the past, called 'Simply Z Best'...it comes in a lot of different bottles and colors, but it's a semi-liquid carnauba wax.

With waxes, the main thing to know is that nothing in this world has been found to work better than old school carnauba wax. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE any wax that contains silicone...there was a wax called TR-3 back in the day that worked great, but woe unto you if you ever go to repaint a vehicle that has had silicone products on it...including Armor All...that thing will fish eye, and you can strip it down to the metal, and it will still fish eye! Trust me on this.
 
Does anyone use a buffer when waxing? If so what's the best buffer to use and which pads work best?
 
I use ToyoGuard Paint Sealent and a detailer spray over that to remove residue after treatment and last a year! But? I do my Tacoma and Rav4 every 6-8 months over and over again! Great shine and tough as Nail 's !
 
Turtle Wax,ToyoGuard Paint Sealent,Mothers Gold, 3 M Paint Sealent, all are very good,I wax every 3 months !!I detail spray the same brands every month!
 
Treat the paint with a good paint sealant. Then I've had amazing results from eagle one nano wax. It produces great results. It doesn't take much and it applies and comes off super easy. It has been featured in articles for the nano technology
 
I just bought maguires black wax yesterday trying it out tomorrow after work I doubt I will see huge results because my truck is only a few months old but I want to try and build up some wax before all the salt hits the roAds any other suggestions on this?
 
I have just discovered and started using Meguairs Paint Sealent and It works Great, First started out wit Meguairs Clay bar and Detail Kit, then Meguairs Golden wax and wiped down good, then a week latter applied Meguairs Paint Sealent on all painted, Chrome, and Black plastic and rubber parts,No Residue and wipe over and over again .wipe down with microfiber cloths again each day for a week ! spray Meguairs detailer spray once a month !!!and reapply Paint sealent once or twice a year, I treated twice 4 weeks apart !!! did both vehicles, 2013 Tacoma Pre Runner DCLB and wifes 2010 RAV4 !!!! They shine better than new, only $9.99 and treats 6-8 vehicles or more, easy on easy off, and no white residue, great on black plastic and rubber and chrome and all painted parts , wipe good !Water beads off like crazy, EASY to USE!!!
