What have you done to your Tacoma today?

It changes things for sure. Makes me a better person for sure. I’m not sure if I’m a great dad but I sure hope I’m raising great kids.
I mastered the art off pulling out about 17 years ago.... [emoji23] JK! There's complications but alternatives. Maybe one day if the stars align but I'm in no hurry. Haha

Finished wiring up the dual battery set up. Ran a circuit back to my sub box which is where I decided to put the switch panel for the lights and USB ports. I couldn't find anywhere up front to mount it that looked good. I also got the front skid plate mounted up, and the roof rack. BTW, I've completely given up on trying to get the pictures to load right side up. Sorry for the neck cramp.

Would you mind telling how much you ended up spending overall? I really want to start working on a dual battery setup but will cost a bit. The model battery is the biggest cost of course.

Overall, about $1300. I bought the Redarc charger because I plan on using a solar panel at some point. Depending on how many volts your alternator is putting out, a smart solenoid may be all you need. The Redarc products are high quality, and there customer service is excellent. They answered every inquiry I had (there are a lot too!)The stock third gen alternators are putting out about 14.1v @ 2000 RPM. With the AGM batteries its important to fully charge them. I run an auxiliary charger on my starting battery a couple times per month to get that full charge. You could upgrade the alternator, which I've heard is a pain in the ass. The batteries are Northstar X2 power, which is a proprietary Batteries Plus label. They are really nice, but heavy. Around 50 lbs per. According to the tech at Northstar, it needs the full charge to 14.2 volts, but it will only hold that voltage for a minute or less. They should sit at between 12.7-13 volts after that. If cost is an issue, you could keep the stock starting battery, and install a group 34 battery for your accessory battery. The $1300 includes all the wiring needed, the connectors, and the Blue sea fuse block and bus block, the Redarc smart solenoid, Redarc DC\DC charger and batteries. Still need to buy the solar panel.

Good old upskirt pictures. Don’t thumbnail them, hit the “Full Image” it should show up right. What else are you running to need the dual battery? Just curious that a lot of power for a sub and some lights. 7113BFBD-18F7-4BC2-B0A5-EAD5EDF99A7E.jpeg
