What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Easy. The lights have pigtails off of them with connectors separate from the harness. Just get your positive hooked to whatever you want them to come on with and ground the negative wire and you’re done. I hooked mine up to come on with the marker lights. Other people splice into the DRL’s or the low beams. I used one of those add-a-fuse things and ran the power wire to the fuse panel under the drivers side dash so no factory wiring was tampered with.

I might be confusing myself here, but get power from the fuse panel and connect the positive to a wire coming off the headlights/parking lights?? I may tackle the bed light kit first.

No the red wire from the harness is connected in the fuse panel using the add-a-fuse and the black wire is just grounded. Either to a good ground point or the negative terminal of the battery. I grounded mine to a bolt which is also a factory ground location for something

Threw a coat of turtle wax color magic (black) on. I used this stuff on a black Honda about 20 years ago. Haven’t been able to find it anywhere in the stores but amazon had it! Highly recommend on a black vehicle to make it shine
