The 16’ told me on the display at the gauges that my key fob battery was low. I didn’t know they did that. Then it got me to thinking, what if the battery died completely while I wasn’t home. So I did a little research and testing and it turns out if you don’t even have a battery in the fob, you can still start the truck simply by holding the fob against the push to start button. I guess there’s some type of sensor inside it that allows it. As I was changing my fob battery (CR2032), I put it to the test and my truck started with no battery in it. Just thought I’d share the info incase anyone else wondered what would happen or was unaware of this as I was.

The OEM battery was leaking a bit from the top....ordered a 34R Odyssey. Installed and let it sit and warm up fully to get the idle relearned....took it on a 20-mile run and come home. FYI.....when I disconnected the battery thought I'd lose my radio stations.....nope....still there. Thought I'd have to reset my clock.....nope....still there. Thought I'd have to re-connect my flip phone to blue-tooth.....nope......still there. Got my battery from BatteryMart.com.......found a promo code too which knocked the price down and free shipping!

Me too.....thought about getting an Optima but the reviews I read weren't favorable. Decided to go with the Odyssey with its 4-year warranty and CCA.
