haha, nah. no fridge snow or ice. just a nice tunnel bag to hold a few brews water and snacks. but for me, i preferred a small flask of fiiiiirrrreeebaaaaalll! less weight to carry.

When I was in the Army (before I came to my senses and joined the Air Force) we used to wrap meat and veggies in foil and let them on the intake manifold of our 2 1/2 ton trucks. When we got where we were going we had hot meals. On longer trips we had hot lunch and dinner. When you shut down a turbine powered helicopter the exhaust is still really hot for a long time. So I used to pack meals in tinfoil as well, land and put it in the exhaust for a while to cook, a hot meal makes even a bad day a little bit better.

I enlisted in the Navy in 1968. At that time it was a know fact any able bodied male not going to college would get drafted. I had no problem serveing, just figured I'd do it on my terms as much as possible. Thank you to all the vets, no matter what branch you served in.

LOL, AF was actually my first choice but recruiter wouldn't even talk to me until I graduated from high school, navy recruiter was across the hall and said come over here and let's talk. I enlisted in the 120 day program which was navy reserves which automatically went active duty at the end of the 120 days. Approximately 30 days after I graduated high school I was in boot camp. Actually got my draft notice when I was in boot camp. Got into the aviation part of the Navy so it all worked out.
