What pocket knife do you carry?

I have a few case pocket knives. My grandpa gave me a few years ago they stay in my safe. I have a case Barlow he carried for years. Blade looks like a ice pick it was sharpened so much those sod busters are great knives also

That’s awesome. I have an old case xx walnut rope knife that my grandfather carried for many years too, everyday and to work in the coal mines. I wouldn’t take a million dollars for it.
I carried the same sod buster from the time I was in junior high until about a year ago because the blade was so worn. That thing went to Iraq and everywhere with me.

Great knives. I carry a leatherman sidekick about every day too.
 
I think so. I like the belt clip. Thank you for your service in Iraq. I saw more patches in your box. If those are your kin folks. I appreciate what they do or did also.

Those are all mine actually. Thank you. I appreciate it.
That’s one of the reasons I carry that leatherman sidekick so much. It has the belt/pocket clip and the quick release knife blade without opening it. I’ve put that thing through some torture and it’s held up without a hitch.

Magnum is a good knife also, made by boker. I've noticed lately with Boker Knives that some are made China and some are made in Germany

That’s what did it then. I didn’t realize they were doing the China route.
Buck started making (and still makes) about 20% of their knives overseas. It hurt their value and they lost a lot of respect in the knife collecting circle. If you’ll notice they are big on the “Buck USA” branding now. Still decent knives.

I am one of the Case XX guys through and through. I have plenty of other knives of all brands but Case has never outsourced overseas. And since Zippo bought them out their quality is back to where it used to be.
That being said, Taylor Brands bought the Schrade/Old Timer name and make all the knives in China. I bought 3 or 4 of them and I’ll tell ya, the quality is better than anything Schrade put out for the last 10 years before they went bankrupt.
