The only place I’ve ever been on the West Coast was the Death Valley and Mojave Desert area.
Spent about a month there in August one year literally outside the entire time. That was a freaking miserable experience.
Jumped in by C130 and hit the dried lake bed like a sack of crap. Then climbing the Tiefert Mountains like an idiot for weeks after that.

I spent time around beattie and silverpeak, but on a ranch.

All blm land, and beattie was a nofly zone for govt reasons. Et likes his privacy

You need to go see the coastal regions and the redwoods.
