Gen1's are only worth a few bucks if pristine with lower miles that have zero rust issues. Lot of that depends where. In new england, and the upper midwest, you'd be lucky to score $5k-8k for one under 200k miles....and thats in good cond. Anyone paying more than that is a fool, and there's no shortage of them....at least on some of these forums.
I had a 93 extended cab 4x4 3.0 v6 toyota pickup that was the curser to the tacoma a couple years later. It's simply amazing how far the 2020 gen3 tacoma had come after having that turd, and I thought my 01 v8 tundra had some balls. Imo, toyota did a great disservice putting a 2.7 160 hp four cylinder in their gen2, and 3 tacomas making them too heavy, and underpowered. You gotta have the v6 in those trucks.
