Some pictures from my last road trip over the weekend of the 4th of July. Spent the 4th in Omaha NE. Awesome fireworks, Grandkids loved it. Would definitely be worth going back for. Hit some good storms heading back to Wis in Nebraska with Tornado and 3" hail. The Yota was in Stuart Iowa

Don't look like too many people post on here, may be a good thing ! Just putting it out there. ! More then likely I'll be up north. 4 wheeling. Next weekend North of Antigo WI. I'll probably be spending the night in Antigo so it will be a day night stroll threw the woods if anyone is willing. Don't matter if your part of another group or not I just like to wheel.

Did a little fishing this morning on the Red Cedar River ! It would probably be nice to camp at some of the County parks (which are Free ) around the area if people would just take your TRASH out with you ! Don't leave it......but had to sneak out along the fields to catch anything. Just a few Wallley20240721_091746_HDR.jpg20240721_091712_HDR.jpg20240721_091724_HDR.jpg20240721_105025_HDR.jpg20240721_104804_HDR.jpg20240721_104753_HDR.jpg

I found its more difficult to catch walleyes later in the summer when the water is warmer vs a couple weeks after ice out....they go deeper, at least this was when I fished northern Quebec.

I wasn't expecting Walleye ! I really went to see if I could hook a. Northern or two but no such luck. The Northern were biting good before the river flooded and so we're the Smalley. But not since the water went back down, only Walleye

2-3 lb walleye's are my favorite fish to eat....not bony like pike. There's northern pike in the connecticut river east of me but not all that big. You'd be lucky to catch a 5 pounder. I've caught a number of northerns well over 20 lbs in quebec, even caught a 11 lb 5 oz walleye on one trip.

Trails weren’t too bad out there this weekend ! Ran some trail north of Antigo Wi. Even crawling around Old Blue still got a little Mud thrown on himIMG_0003.jpegIMG_0002.jpeg

Holy crap, this is great, you're brave showing a pic of a taco on a dirt road here. For a long time it's been only pics of taco's in the asphalt jungle. This restores my faith that these trucks can be use on something other.

The Augusta springs Trail Head North of Antigo Wi. has trails open for your Trucks, some are shared and some are not so be careful and have fun. ( Go north out of Antigo WI. to County A then run east .)

2 of those last pics above look almost like they were taken of the 2 mile road to my home before the town widened, and fixed all the places this summer that were sketchy. I'm going to miss towing out many of these 2wd cars that get hung up, or stuck in endless mud ruts.

The Mesabi Mnt ORV Trail in MN. has off-road park near by ! where most of the mall crawlers stay but this trail is a Blast if your really looking to test your skills, only 4 miles long but you may be there all day & night depending on if you break something or not but all wild obstacles have by pass but some of those for the beginner would be wild

I got my tundra stuck bad one day in the winter on the same road I live on after a warmup, and heavy rains. Truck sunk up to the rockers in a huge mud hole burying both axles after the frost came out of the ground. Lucky I was less than a mile from my home, and one of my neighbors were nearby. Was embarrassing to have a lifted 2500 dodge cummings 4wd pull me out, but it was worth buying them lunch. Been through there many times with this tacoma. I'm way more confident of its ability in 4wd....this truck is like a goat on the same terrain in 2wd vs that tundra in 4.
