    What is Toyota thinking?

How many of you guys give any salt to this idea that new engines burn in at speeds? That is, if you run at nn rpms doing 65mph, the engine burns in and takes on a feel for that slot? Same thing applies when new push rods, valve sleeves are installed, supposedly. I've never been able to...

    Have you noticed ... ?

Let's be careful here. I strongly believe the Toyota Tacoma is a fine reliable quality vehicle and I am just plain in love with mine. These little harps I have about certain things are in my view things that Toyota can easily correct with software updates, except for the touchy brakes. I...

It's nice to hear about somebody buying an SR5 in this forum. And you show up with this post just as I was about to inquire. Is this bad boy a 4x4?

The Ultimate Tacoma Lift Kit Guide

Yep, a lot of these kits appear to be more cosmetic than desirable enablers of rougher rides. And for a cosmetic mod to actually introduce vibrations and roughness in the ride seems to be something to be avoided. FlyingLentris in LLOMA

The Ultimate Tacoma Lift Kit Guide

While researching lift and leveling kits, I found this ... http://www.tacomahq.com/66/tacoma-leveling-lift-kit/ It answers a lot of questions, except actual tire size concerns and solid axle swap particulars. FlyingLentris in LLOMA

    Manual VS Automatic

Parker, your 2017 TRD Offroad 4x4 looks just like mine with that Inferno color. You have manual and I have automatic. You are griping 16mpg and I am getting an average of 18 to 20mpg with spikes up to 30mpg. Most of my driving has been in the city with some jogs on the freeway at distances...

    Manual VS Automatic

I've driven manuals all my life by preference. With Toyota 5 speeds, when shifting, I'd skip a gear, 4th, to get to 5th from 3rd. Manuals gave better gas milage as well as a better more enjoyable road feel. With the new 2017 TRD Offroad 4x4 I just bought, it has the premium technology package...

What color truck did u buy??

I kind of figured that Inferno was a relatively new color, but I was watching the Mad Max movie today that dates back to 1979 and two vehicles in that movie were colored Inferno. FlyingLentris in LLOMA

Run mode yes, but the engine doesn't start unless you have your foot on the breaks. But you bring up another peeve. Have you noticed you can't operate the window switches while in accessory mode? With regard to auto parts stores, Winchester Auto is good here in San Jose, CA. FlyingLentris...

2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road - Cement

That Toyota had the front of this thread does not have a color matched rear bumper ... that can be ordered that way. The sides and bottom of the bumper match, but the inset step part is black. They are all like that. When the Toyota builds talk about color matching it is regarding the wheel...
