Heidi BIt's a vibration here and there in gas peddle and a hum sound coming from below me. Which isn't constant but when it starts it is at 30mph and has continued at 60mph. I did have some confirmation from another person that it sounds like bearings going out. They looked at my lift and being it's the pucks and everything is actually toyota parts they didn't believe it was the lift. They also checked the drive lines and said angles were dead on as well as the alignment. When they took it for a drive they could hear the hum sound around 20mph.
It's the needle bearing. Get the ECGS bushing installed and be done. Toyota won't do anything for you if the lift wasn't installed by them. You can try and if the service guys are awesome you could get lucky and have them fix it. But... Not likely.Heidi B
I thought I going crazy. You hit the issue with my 2016 TRD Sport. I had a Ready Lift leveling kit put on, this is when I started noticing the vibration. It starts between 30 and 40 mph and then again between 60 and 75 mph, felt worst at 35 and 65/70. I've taken it back to the shop that installed the kit for me twice, the second time the mechanic was able to hear the vibration. I'd really hate to take the lift off but I think I'm going to end up pulling the trigger on that one.

Thanks OR17TRDWelcome to the forum.
To check if it's the needle bearing for sure put it in 4wd and drive at the speed when it usually hums. 30-40mph. It should drive smooth no hum. Turn 4wd off and it will start humming again. Thanks OR17TRD
Funny you say that OR17TRD, the mechanic that installed the kit called me today and had me do exactly that and it did exactly what you said. In 4WD nice and smooth/quite, as soon as I put it back in 2WD, I only got the vibration at 60 mph very faintly. It eventually went back to its normal occurrence though. Maybe. Especially since not all trucks will get it.Same problem here. Icon/old man emu lift on my 16 trd sport. 24k miles. Took it in to the dealer despite knowing the lift wasnt installed by them...and they did the fix no questions asked. I even have wheel spacers. One of the reasons I keep taking my trucks to this dealer. Service is great and they have popcorn, lattes, and a fountain drink machine for customers. they told me the bearing was upgraded/updated but we shall see.... Never had this problem on my 06 and it had an identical lift. 200k on that one. I wonder if it was a bad lot of needle bearings that were installed from the factory?
