Well thats a given when you want to keep an older high mileage vehicle on the road. It's the main reason I sold my tundra....didn't make sense to put over $5k into an old vehicle that was barely worth more. I was always told if you want to be successful, you need know when to hold them, and when to fold. As far as my tacoma running expenditures, it's costing me more for property tax, but much cheaper to operate for insurance, and fuel vs the tundra. It's about a wash when you add it all up after a year, plus the tacoma has been totally void of any repairs needed, unlike my tundra.
On another note, its strange...I saw a couple new gen4 taco's a couple weeks back on the road, but nothing since. Chit load of gen3's, their everywhere.
