'97 Taco life + times, the chronicles of...

That’s an awesome story and seriously impressive mileage for a 25+ year-old truck The fact that it’s still running the original clutch (aside from the master/slave) really says a lot about both the build quality and how well you’ve treated it over the years. Those little gremlins and rattles almost feel like part of the truck’s personality at that age.

Interesting note on the tires too—always a tradeoff between road noise and winter traction. Sounds like the Michelins make daily driving much nicer, even if the DuraTracs had the edge in blizzard conditions. Thanks for sharing the journey; trucks like this are what make the taco adventure legendary

He's replaced just about everything in it except for the engines oil cap to make it legendary. You could pay your rent every month for what he's paid for repairs to keep that old worn out truck rolling. If fact he could have likely had a nice newer truck by now. These gen1 guys don't like to disclose what costs they have into there trucks by now.
Show me an old truck like thats has all new parts, and counting..... I'll show you someone thats likely broke.
