Gas mileage

I can't seem to get better than 17 mpg. Even on the highway. Has anyone else experienced this?

Reset your trip A or B to 0.0 at your next fill up. Drive normal. At the next fill up look at your trip take that number and divide how many gallons it took to fill up.

Example:
Trip mileage says 300 miles
Gallons to fill was 17 ga
300/17 = 17.6 mpg
Reset trip and repeat.

The worst I've seen is 22mpg. The last couple of tanks are seeing any where from 430 to 450 and or when I get a fuel lamp. Figuring it the old fashion way shows 24mpg. I drive it at the speed limit with 31psi tire pressure. I don't do the hypermiling thing. My truck is a bone stock 2016 Crew cab LB V6.

I get around 22mpg with my daily driving. I live in a "rural" New England so my daily driving never puts my speedo past 55. If I hit the interstate and cruise at 70+ my mpg will drop to around 18.

Road trips better. Think i averaged 26 last year.

I can't complain.

Actually get around 21 MPG if I drive the speed limit.

I have a hard time doing that. Around 80 MPH I average 18 to 19 MPG with a 4x4 V6 auto.

When I fill up my truck only shows about 350 miles to empty at best, sometimes 330 miles.

I would think more involved with the estimated mpg odometer is by tire rotation, speed rpm, idle all factor in to mpg
