is this nothing more than just surface rust?

One day.....he'll be caught under a truck with a protective owner of their possessions. The owner could bring a world of hurt to him.....either legally or physically.

Oh well.... Apparently, he is more concerned about other owner's trucks than his own. I suspect the suspension will fall out from under it just before the engine has a catastrophic failiure.
 
Might wanna look in to those strange feet on the passengers side they could create some drag going up hill? Or if the floors are gone it's extra traction Fred Flinstone style ?
