1st post on here but by no means a newb to the truck world. I currently own 2 Powerstrokes , 17 and 19. Both lifted and extensive motor work.
I'm in the market for a smaller truck and am currently looking to purchase a TRD Sport soon. Of course it will get lifted and modded. I know it will be apples to oranges performance wise but my questions are regarding suspension.
I plan on clearing 33's on 10" wheel. Probably either a 18 or 17 diameter. Also plan on taking it offroad so I'd probably do a 6" lift for clearance issues. If 35's will fit without trimming then I'd do them. Not looking to trim anything. Would rather lift it the required height and do it right. Besides the install requirements, are there any other mods needed ? Carrier bearing....u-joints.... driveshaft....issues with the IFS...???? Just want to get a heads up and try to have my "ducks in a row" before install.
Also, what, if any, are my options for regearing ? Not looking to crawl, just regain some of the lost power.
