the climate crisis...

Scientists have been reporting a shift in the earth magnetic poles for years even causing total chaos if they flip. Its ocean currents that create La Niña, and El Niño. This year they're predicting a strong La Niña.....just how strong who knows. If your in the mid to far west you could see more precipitation, and colder temps. Imo, from what I see from the accorn, and hickory nut trees, along with the animals here in New England, it will be much like last winter...above average, temps, and precipitation.
 
It is normal for the poles to move about. Been happening for centuries.

Climate change has a load of bad data and bad science to create an artificial fear. This "warming" trend could easily be the normal cycle of the earth. The earth's average temp has increase like 1.5 F over the last several hundred years............. I'm doubtful if we are looking at a crisis.

FWIW, I can not recall the last significant rainfall we had locally. Drought in this area is normal from mid-summer into the fall. Tonight, we are under a FREEZE warning beginning at 1:00 am. Low temps predicted in mid to upper 20's. All normal for this time of year.

You're starting to sound like Jay. Be careful.
 
If I remember correctly weren't we all supposed to be drowning in the ocean by now???

They've talked about the polar ice caps melting and rising ocean levels for how many decades now?!?!
 
Yeah, nyc was predicted to be consumed by the sea by now, yet its still there, just with more crime, and wonderful odors of rotten garbage piling up.
It's why these politicians, and weather scientists have gone all in on the great green scam.
 
I don't doubt they get their gooberment grants, otherwise you can be sure they ain't doing all this stuff out of the goodness of their hearts.

I think it's El Nino that brings higher precip here to Texas. Right now we're getting back into some pretty severe drought situations! We did have a lot of rain and severe thunderstorms in the spring and early summer which is typical but at that time I think we were in an El Nino pattern which generally brings us higher precip. October is generally a very wet month with severe thunderstorms however this month there's been very little or no rainfall and none in the immediate forecast and as you said it's now a LA Nina pattern which gives us lower precip!
 
Just got an email from folks I know up in mount valins quebec....Over 6'' of fresh wet snow fell in the last 14 hrs. Even parts of nh got some snow.
Woke up this morning to a heavy frost on the ground here in nw connecticut.
