a new chapter begins... the road to 400k

At least those champs had basically a nearly rustfree area to Richard around in

Toyota isn't the only source for good parts.

You can choose to wait, risking more damage or you can act to source from parts from another vendor to make timely repairs.

Your choice to heed good advice or ignore following your own path.

I assume you bent the cotter pins over and didn't leave them straight..................

i wasn't sure if there is a specialty tool for the cotter key pins, if there is I do not have one
all i had was an angled needle-nose plier to bend them somewhat secure and a bitty hammer that didn't do much lol
...even dunked them in woolWax HV to prevent any rust accumulation and seizure which is a thing with these pins
but they will once again be removed the first week of December when the rack and LCAs are replaced

I think toyota uses McGard lug nuts as their supplier for these trucks.

what store would sell those?
i have broken capped lugs that need replaced soon before the salt cometh
2 months now with exposed hub studs and there is rusty already started in the exposed caps

170$ for each axle or both together
from Napa?
you don't even want to know what the parts charge for these Napa axles were! still less than half of what Yota new OEM axles and a week delay for shipment, somehow reman'd cv axles for these trucks are a no-go

I've found them at the Napa store here, I'd buy them online if you can find them, like on eBay. Look for anyone that offers free shipping to.

yeah, the RockAuto order of 4 remaining... the shipping of 5,99 doubled the damned cost of 4 o_O

4th day now with front wheels off p
Truck looks sickly

250 ft lbs torque loaner from O'Reilly's

I've never popped the caps on this to expose the nut
What shall I find behind

Crying out loud, just go on extremeterrains online site, and dial up tacoma McGard lug nuts, and you'll see more kinds then you'll ever need. There's a crap load on eBay also if look for McGard lug nuts for tacoma's.

Mine take specialty mag lugs with a washer most common on the yota
Didn't see much of that on there other than perhaps chrome lugs

My tundra lug nut used washers. Didn't take long before the chrome finish turned to brown rust. Back then, the sales guy at a napa store told me that McGard was toyota's lug nut supplier. I would think if those are toyota wheels you have, you should be able to get them.

All they had at AAP were dorman junk
Maybe I try Napa someday sooner
