a new chapter begins... the road to 400k

also i found the front axle hub grease cap, part# 43514-28010
to be all mangled and bent from the one shop that first replaced the original bearing, which failed within 5k miles
which would explain the spots of rust found upon that brand new oem hub on the innards

i used 2 flats screwdrivers of different blade sizes
and a small regular hammer
to pound the axle hub grease cap free
then used a small prybar to pop it off easily
no mangling what so ever
whut the F did that first slopShop do???

and whut the hail is that blackish substance all over that hub outer ring??
i do not recall the brand-new in box OEM hub i supplied for the bearing to have any black stuff there, but I will check the other new hub i bot then from Miami (which is on backorder) and see if my mind playing tricks on me or whatever

nevermind!
i checked the NIP yota hub and it has that blackish all around that area but is not all chipped off

how the F do they want 300$ to replace the center support carrier bearing
this does not include part cost, which cost I nearly 200$ on the oem discount deal... MSRP is near 300$ for this buggard

I've seen them sell a carrier replacement bearing on eBay for $20-$30 for these tacoma's. I don't know if they're all oem or not.

Genuine stickers in genuine package?
Yep, and brandy new, except when I checked it again this morning, its for a T100, not a tacoma. I saw tacoma driveshaft carrier bearings for around $112 up...most around the $160 range for a genuine Toyota part.
